If you have medical questions pertaining to COVID-19, please contact the Florida Department of Health in Broward County at 954-412-7300 before traveling to any health care facility. Or, you can call the Broward County COVID-19 Call Center at 954-357-9500 to get answers to your questions. The Call Center also performs over-the-phone assessments for testing eligibility.
Home Delivered Meals
If you are already receiving home-delivered meals from South Florida Meals on Wheels, that service should continue as usual. If you have any concerns about your meal delivery, contact Meals on Wheels at 954-731-8770 or visit mowsoflo.org
Meals from Meal Sites or Senior Centers
If you normally take meals at a congregate meal site or senior center, and that facility has closed, you will receive home-delivered meals until your regular facility reopens. If you have any questions or concerns about your meal delivery, contact the facility where you normally take meals. Even though some facilities are closed for service, staff is there to take calls and answer your questions.
Elderly and Veterans Services
Broward County’s Elderly and Veterans Services Division is open and operating, but has replaced in-person home visits with telephone contacts. Broward County is working closely with the Area Agency on Aging of Broward and other community providers to address the needs of seniors every day, but most especially through this time of crisis.
