BC Public WiFi

Students from the nearby Broward College and Florida Atlantic University campus have the ability to step away from the classroom setting while staying connected online for e-mails and research and enjoy outdoor vistas such as Bubier Park, and Las Olas Boulevard. Library patrons will have similar experiences with Internet connections available adjacent to the Downtown Main Library in Stranahan Park. Local residents and visitors can also stay “connected” to home and work while visiting two of Broward County’s popular restaurants and shopping spots – Las Olas Boulevard and the Old Himmarshee area of Fort Lauderdale.

Access is also provided in all County buildings located in the Broward Municipal Services District and in the Government Center in West Broward.

BC Public

The primary service area of the outdoor and indoor WiFi wireless network is identified as “BC Public.” In addition to coverage within the Governmental Center and in Stranahan Park adjacent to the Main Library Branch, you can also connect along SW 2nd Street from the Broward County Governmental Center through the Old Himmarshee area, and Las Olas Boulevard, beginning at Andrews Avenue and continuing east to approximately Southeast 10th Avenue.

Connecting ​to Broward County’s Wireless​ Network

Calls for assistance regarding access to WiFi hot spots will be handled by the Broward County Call Center at 954-831-4000. Whether you're using a laptop or mobile device, be sure your WiFi option is turned on. WiFi networks within range of your device will appear as choices. From a mobile device, select BC Public, then agree to the terms and conditions of use when your browser opens.

 

From a laptop, select BC Public, then launch your Web Browser to agree to the terms if it doesn't launch automatically. If you'd like to read them first, select the link for Terms and Conditions.



After selecting "I Agree" you will then see "Connection Successful," and be connected to the Internet.
