Pursuant to Section 14.227(b) of the Broward County Administrative Code: Whenever a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be designated as a substitute holiday and observed as the official holiday for that year. When the holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be designated as the official holiday for that year.​

NOTICE TO BROWARD COUNTY EMPLOYEES:
Benefit-eligible employees are entitled to two days off during each calendar year in the form of sixteen (16) hours annual leave for full-time employees assigned to a five (5) day work week, or twenty (20) hours if assigned to a four (4) day work week, and eight (8) hours annual leave for part-time 20+ employees. Personal Day leave can be taken on any of the employee's scheduled work days according to the provisions that govern the use of annual leave.

Employees covered by Collective Bargaining Agreements are subject to the provisions of their applicable agreement.​​​​​​
