Effective July 1, 2021, Florida HB 735 was signed into law by the Governor. Accordingly, the Broward County Consumer Protection Division will no longer require the registration of locksmith businesses, nor the licensing of locksmiths or apprentice locksmiths. Those that have applied since the passing of the Ordinance on February 9, 2021 will be issued refunds.
