Summer reading promotes literacy:

Early Literacy Program - preparing children for success by developing early language skills
- Children's Program - helping young children build reading and language skills.
- Teen Program - motivating teens to read and discuss literature.
- Adult Program - encouraging adults to experience the joy of reading.
Summer Learning Program features imaginative and entertaining library events centered upon nature, culture and technology.
Spend an adventurous summer winning prizes for reading, learning and showing up. Beginning May 1st, readers of all ages who
register for the Summer Learning Program can participate in summer challenges and become eligible to win great prizes from community partners such as Florida Panthers, Museum of Discovery and Science, Bluefoot Pirates Adventures, Wyndham Deerfield Beach, Sawgrass Recreation Park, Water Taxi, Jungle Island, Xtreme Action Park, Zoo Miami, Frost Science Museum, Pines Ice Arena and more. Grand Prize Raffle Drawings will be held June 1st, July 1st, August 1st and August 10th.
The 2024 Summer Learning Program is presented by the Broward Public Library Foundation. Additional sponsorship is provided by Charles F. & Esther M. Frye Foundation, Community Foundation of Broward, JM Family Enterprises, Florida Virtual School, Friends of Broward County Library, Children's Services Council of Broward, and the local chapters of the Friends of Broward County.
