Is Your Broward County Agency Recycling?

Recycling at Broward County government agencies has never been easier since the County implemented the “single-stream” system. All recyclables, including paper, plastic bottles, aluminum and steel cans, can go into the blue recycling bins strategically placed throughout your building, office, or desk-side. If your agency is not recycling yet, what are you waiting for?

Broward County’s Government Recycling Program
has gone digital!

Solid Waste and Recycling Services would like to introduce its new online Recycling Missed Collection Form. This form, accessible to Broward County employees only, is specifically designed to make it easier for staff to report any missed recycling collections at government facilities.

This form is easily accessible on the BC-Net. On the menu, go to: Forms, Solid Waste and Recycling Services, Government Recycling Program Forms. Or you can link here to the form and save to your browser’s Favorites. For more information on the Government Recycling Program, please call us at 954-474-1867 or email us at bcgovtrecycles@broward.org.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is Not Recyclable

The Solid Waste and Recycling Services, Government Recycling Program would like to remind you to Recycle Right, even during these trying times. Please be advised that disinfectant wipes, face masks, gloves, and other PPE items cannot be recycled and should be placed in the TRASH.

What’s that? You don’t have a recycling bin?

Solid Waste and Recycling Services has a Government Recycling Program that provides recycling bins to County agencies. We also offer workplace assessments to make recommendations and share best practices to ensure that every employee, agency, office and facility has what they need to create a sustainable recycling practice.

Contact the Government Offices Recycling Program coordinator at 954-474-1867 or send us an email at BCGovtRecycles@broward.org to request recycling bins* and/or a workplace assessment.

*Recycling bins are provided to supplement, not replace, regular waste bins. You must currently have a waste bin in order to receive a recycling bin.
