The Broward Teaching Artist Credentialing Program contributes to the assessment and development of arts education programming of the highest quality.  Offered annually, it is comprised of a  three-tiered curriculum that ensures teaching artists of all levels have base knowledge and proficiency across multiple metrics in both arts and education knowledge. School and community program providers will have access to fully vetted, high quality teaching artists and programming.

  • Each level of certification has its own evaluation rubric, and participants must meet all completion criteria before moving to the next level.
  • Evaluation includes a written component that will be retained by the Cultural Division both as program back-up and for future program expansion purposes
  • Graduates of Level Three will become faculty for annual implementation of the Program and other BCD educational initiative.

This credentialing process will only consider applications from individual teaching artists, not companies or arts groups with multiple artists, although applicants may be affiliated with one or more organizations.
