Building Permit Inspections can now be requested online. Select here to access online inspections.
The permit number, phone access code (located on permit fee invoice), the inspection type, date of inspection, and point of contact for the day of the inspection are required.
Please note that inspection requests after 3:00PM, will be scheduled for the following business day.
IMPORTANT: Overtime inspections requests are not to be made through this Online Permit Requests portal. Any Overtime Inspection Requests are to be made directly with the respective Trade Chief and requested 48 hours in advance.
Licensed Contractors must maintain current General Liability and Workers Compensation/Exemption.
For job values equal to or greater than $5,000.00, or $15,000.00 for air conditioner replacement and repairs, a Notice of Commencement must be recorded. A certified copy of the recorded Notice of Commencement must be obtained. The certified copy of the recorded Notice of Commencement must be submitted to our building department prior to scheduling the first inspection. Please contact records@broward.org.
