​Broward County Emergency Management has announced the 2018 training and credential requirements for all County, municipality and other organization personnel that must report to the Broward Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for a declared activation. Members of the Broward Emergency Response Team (BERT), must complete these requirements each year before the start of hurricane season on June 1.

Required WebEOC Training

WebEOC is the web-based information management system used by the Broward County Emergency Operations Center that provides a single access point for the collection and dissemination of event-related information in an emergency. First time users must complete an in-person training session, followed by annual online refreshers.

Required Incident Command Training

The Incident Command System (ICS) is a management system that utilizes a common and coordinated organization structure to accomplish effective and efficient management of an emergency incident. Training requirements vary, based upon a responder’s role on the Broward Emergency Response Team (BERT).​
