Waste Transporter

A waste transporter is any person or entity who at any time carries, conveys, bears, or transports discarded hazardous materials, sludge, or biomedical waste for commercial purposes. The Environmental Permitting Division (EPD) issues licenses to authorize the transportation of these materials to, from and within Broward County.

Note: Waste tire transporters are not regulated by the EPD. Please refer to the Florida DEP Waste Tire Management Program website.

Waste Transporter customers can submit their monthly reports, new license applications, renewals, and modifications online via ePermits​. This service can be accessed any time to upload documents, pay fees, and receive electronic approvals, saving time and money.
