New Construction or Acquisition and/or Rehabilitation of Multi-Family Affordable Housing Rental Units
The Broward County announces the availability of funds and is requesting applications for projects to be funded with Broward County GAP financing.
FUNDING AVAILABILITY
$22,000,000 is available for the new construction and/or acquisition and rehabilitation of multi-family affordable housing rental units with a maximum of $7,000,000 available per project. Applicants requesting funding under this RFA must provide at least seventy (70) residential rental units that will be affordable for households whose incomes are 80% or below the Area Median Income. These funds require the use of non-County revenue sources. Projects that have received Broward County GAP Financing in the last three (3) years or are utilizing Florida Housing Finance Corporation (“FHFC”) 9% tax credits are not eligible to apply for funding under this RFA.

Broward County Median Income is $96,200 as of April 1, 2025.
The RFA will be available Monday, February 2, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 110 NE 3rd Street, Suite 300, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301. The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, March 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. All applications received after 12:00 p.m. on March 20, 2026, will not be accepted and will be returned to the applicant.

The Broward County Housing Finance Division (HFD) is accepting Request for Applications (RFA) for Consulting Services to Prepare/Write a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Action Plan. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12:00 P.M (EST). All applications received after 12:00 P.M. will not be accepted and will be returned to the applicant. Request for Applications for the Five (5) Year Consolidated Plan Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice

The Broward County Housing Finance Division (HFD) is seeking proposals from non-profits and for-profits to provide direct services to prepare portions of the Consolidated Plan and an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. A Request for Applications (RFA) package may be obtained online at www.broward.org/housing or in person at 110 NE 3rd Street, 3rd Floor, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, between weekday hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
A Pre-Bid Workshop will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at 110 NE 3rd Street, 2nd Floor, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Attendance is strongly encouraged but is not mandatory.
Questions regarding the RFA must be addressed via email only to ylopez@broward.org or phaggerty@broward.org. All questions and answers will be posted on the HFD website until 5:00 PM Monday, January 6, 2025.
Proposals are to be submitted no later than Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 12:00 PM NOON, at the HFD offices, 110 NE 3rd Street, 3rd Floor, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Responses received after this date and time will be returned unopened. The reception staff will time/date stamp the submittals as they arrive.
