A dozen pieces of durable outdoor exercise equipment make up the Destination Fitness facility at Reverend Samuel Delevoe Park, a Broward Municipal Services District neighborhood park. Up to 23 people can work out at the same time with the machines, which enable users to target specific areas of their bodies such as arms, chest, and legs. Equipment for Destination Fitness is provided by the Broward Regional Health Planning Council and the Health Foundation of South Florida.
Destination Fitness complements the park's existing fitness center, an indoor facility that opened in 2009, adding more than 2,000 square feet to Delevoe's much-used recreation center. The fitness center, which requires an annual membership, features nearly a dozen pieces of equipment and serves ages 18 and up. Destination Fitness is designed for ages 14 and older.
We have fitness zones in other parks. Check them out here.
