​​Free Chlorination

Free Chlorination begins on April 19, 2021 and ends on May 10, 2021 in the District 1 ​ Water Service Area.

Free chlorination is a common practice for water systems using combined chlorine disinfection in an effort to ensure the integrity of the distribution system. This chlorination period is anticipated to be transparent; however, there may be a slight change in the taste or odor of the tap water.


​Pay Water Bill

Make your secure Water and Wastewater Services (WWS) payment by electronic check or credit card.

For a one-time payment, sign into your AccessBROWARD account and follow the instructions. If this is your first online payment, you will need to create a AccessBROWARD account and link the WWS account(s) you wish to pay online. Your credit card information is not stored so you will need to access your account every month to make an online payment.

You can now sign up for automatic payment from your checking or savings account and your bill will always be paid on time! This convenient option saves you time and money and conserves natural resources. Click Here to download and print the form and return it with your next payment.

Please be advised that effective November 2, 2020, we will be re-opening our customer payment centers in Pompano Beach and Lauderdale Lakes for walk in payments.
In accordance with Broward County Emergency Order 20-27, all customers will be required to wear masks when entering the customer payment center and customers must maintain a 6’ social distancing in accordance with CDC guidelines. We have established floor labels indicating the necessary social distancing. There will be limited customers allowed into the payment center and if capacity is exceeded, customer will be asked to line up outside until capacity allows access.
Payments can still be made utilizing our Pompano Beach drive-thru or by calling our 24-hour automated system at 954-831-3250 and
selecting option #1 for those choosing to not use the customer payment center or those who cannot wear masks due to medical exceptions.

You can also make a payment on our website at www.broward.org/waterservices or by cash at any Amscot location that is open.



City of Fort Lauderdale Stormwater Billing Changes

Effective October 1, 2020, the City of Fort Lauderdale will start billing for stormwater services and Broward County Water and Wastewater Services will discontinue a monthly stormwater rate for approximately 1,700 City residents. The City of Fort Lauderdale will bill the stormwater rate annually on the property tax bill instead of on the monthly utility bill. For more information on the new stormwater billing method, please contact the City of Fort Lauderdale at 954-828-8000.

Fiscal Year 2021 Water and Wastewater Rates, Fees and Charges

The board of County Commissioners maintained the same rates for Fiscal Year 2021.
The rates are effective as of October 1, 2020.

Bring your services bill or bill stub with you to any Amscot location. Amscot will charge a non-refundable $2.00 fee for each transaction. This fee is remitted entirely to Amscot - Not Broward County. Cash payments only. The payments post the next business day.

Conserve additional resources by choosing to receive electronic bills instead of paper. Send an email to WWS Customer Service at water@broward.org and state that you want an electronic bill. Be sure to provide your customer number and email address where you would like your bill to be sent.
