Monetary Donations Needed to Restock Food Banks
Many people in Broward County are facing financial hardship and are struggling to put food on the table. With the holidays fast approaching, food costs on the rise, and uncertainty with the economy, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners is encouraging those who can help to donate money to organizations that feed the hungry and food insecure in the County.
The Feeding Broward initiative was spearheaded by Commissioner Nan Rich, in concert with various non-profit and charitable organizations, including Feeding South Florida, the Children’s Services Council, Health Foundation of South Florida, Memorial Hea lthcare System, and the United Way.
