 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) Universal Application for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 

The Broward County Housing Finance and Community Redevelopment Division (HFCRD) is providing notice of funding availability​ for projects to be funded with grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Universal Applications will be available at 110 NE 3rd Street, 3rd Floor, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 8:30 AM-5:00 PM through Friday, January 21, 2022 at 12:00 P.M

The Proposal Preparation, Fair Housing and Section 3 Workshop Pre-Development public hearing will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10:00AM,  and the public notice can be found here: PUBLIC NOTICE. ​​​​​RFA for Direct Services to Implement Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Programs

Broward County Housing Finance and Community Redevelopment Division (HFCRD) is requesting applications from qualified entities to provide direct services to implement its Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation programs. Applications submittal deadline is Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 12:00 PM Noon, at the HFCRD offices, 110 NE 3rd Street, 3rd Floor, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Responses received after the deadline will be returned unopened.

A portion of this program includes federal funding. All applicable Federal and State regulations apply.

Public Notice Annual Action Plan FY 2021-2022/47th Year Pre-Adoption Public Hearing U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency ​Grant (ESG) Programs

​Broward County is an entitlement recipient of federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the CDBG, HOME and ESG programs. In the 2021-2022 Program Year, Broward County anticipates receiving $4,556,446 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $3,859,270 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds, and $241,212 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. in addition, Broward County anticipates receiving $130,000 in CDBG program income as well as $500,000 in HOME program income. These funds will be used to address community development and housing needs in Broward County.​​​
 
Citizens are encouraged to review the final draft 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan (AAP) and provide written comment. Copies of the document are available here​, for review and comment during a 30-day period commencing July 16, 2021 and ending August 15, 2021. Prior to adoption, the Housing Finance and Community Redevelopment Division (HFCRD) will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the HFCRD offices located at 110 NE 3rd Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Additionally, the public hearing will be available virtually. Citizens are encouraged to comment on the proposed Plan. For further information regarding access to the virtual public hearing here. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV and ESG-CV) - CARES Act-Rental Assistance

If you have been impacted by COVID19 you may be eligible for rental and/or utility assistance. If you have received an eviction or past due notice from your landlord, and you reside in one of the eligible areas listed below, and your maximum household income is below the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) median income limits for your household size, you may be eligible for assistance. To apply, please call the Family Success Center located nearest your area.
