Under general supervision, performs responsible administrative, supervisory and technical duties administering a computer-aided facilities management system and associated maintenance programs.
Administers an automated facilities maintenance system and associated maintenance programs for a diverse portfolio of County facilities.
Supervises subordinate personnel in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to computer-aided facilities management systems and associated maintenance programs.
Trains users in the operation of an automated facilities maintenance system.
Analyzes proactive maintenance tasks, procedures, contracts, and plans to maximize economic benefit.
Manages and updates the information library for maintained assets.
Prepares reports, purchase requisitions, and related documents.
Performs related work as required.

Knowledge of current practices and principles of facilities management and operations.
Knowledge of a wide variety of building and grounds maintenance practices and procedures.
Ability to administer a computerized facility/asset management system.
Ability to analyze maintenance requirements and make recommendations.
Ability to develop and prepare reports, including database reports.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and data.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to operate a personal computer and related business software applications.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, elected and appointed officials and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds regardless of race, religion, age, gender, disability, political affiliation or sexual orientation.

REQUIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in public or business administration or related field: four (4) years experience in managing large facilities maintenance programs, including two (2) years experience in the operation of an automated facilities maintenance system; or any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
