NATURE OF WORK
This is advanced professional and analytical work with responsibility for coordinating and managing diverse components of a large-scale, multi-year, highly collaborative business process integration, automation and change management project.
Work involves providing high-level expertise and management of complex project components including evaluation and selection of consultant proposals for services and software; administration of consultant contracts; planning, leading and facilitating cross-county teams of professional and technical staff in documentation, analysis and re-design of business processes, policies and technology systems; and assisting in the integration and implementation of new processes and systems.
Work is reviewed by an administrative superior through conferences, consultations, and overall program achievements.
Performs project management and contract administration responsibilities for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project; reviews and processes consultant invoices, requisitions and purchase orders.
Performs due diligence and other related tasks in support of consultant and software selection and contract negotiations.
Leads or facilitates county teams of professional and technical personnel in documenting, analyzing and re-designing business processes, and evaluating proposed systems and cost benefit analyses.
Creates process maps and analyses in support of project teams.
Reviews various types of project documentation for accuracy, completeness and adherence to applicable requirements.
Documents and analyzes policy changes recommended in support of redesigned and automated business processes.
Develops and maintains documentation for project reporting and before-after analysis.
Coordinates formulation, preparation and control of the project budget.
Prepares a variety of written documents including plans, special and regular reports, systems and organizational analyses and work flow charts as well as presentations, briefing materials and reports for the Project Steering Team and the Board of County Commissioners.
Performs related work as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in public or business administration or related field; six (6) years of progressively responsible professional administrative or project management experience including at least four (4) years in technology-related or business process improvement-related project management working in or for the public sector; or any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
