The Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) current flood maps for Broward County went into effect August 18, 2014. Homeowners and businesses are encouraged to view FEMA’s flood maps online to see if they are currently in a flood zone and compare their current flood zone with he proposed flood zone as shown on FEMA’s December 31, 2019 preliminary flood maps.
