Broward's Response to Homelessness

Broward County is the designated Collaborative Applicant and the Advisory Board Coordinator for the Broward County Homeless Continuum of Care (HCoC) Board.  Broward County also is the designated Lead Agency for the HCoC's Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). The  County provides support to the Local Homeless Providers and Stakeholders Council which meets monthly to discuss strategies and points of advocacy to end homelessness in the County.

The Human Services Department is committed to ending homelessness in Broward County. We believe every County resident deserves a place to call home, and we are doing our part to make this a reality. Through collaboration with a network of community-based organizations, advocates, residents, and local businesses, the County is addressing homelessness at its root causes and forging a new path for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We invite you to learn more about Broward's initiatives' positive impact and consider joining us in our efforts to make homelessness in Broward County a thing of the past.
