SWIM Central is a partnership between the Broward County Commission, the School Board of Broward County, and the Children’s Services Council of Broward County. The goal of SWIM Central is to work with public and private agencies to teach water safety to children countywide. It also provides a referral service to aquatics facilities that offer low-income parents reduced rates for swimming instruction, and maintains a database of all swimming programs and facilities in Broward County. Additional funding is received through the S.W.I.M.S. (Safe Water Instruction Means Safety) Foundation.
