NW 27th Avenue Inspector Intern Program

OESBD in collaboration with the Highway Construction Engineering Division announces the NW 27th Avenue Inspector Intern Pilot Program in conjunction with the NW 27th Avenue Safe Streets Project. The NW 27th Avenue Inspector Intern Pilot Program will employ up to six (6) Broward County residents, with a focus on residents in the County’s underserved communities such as the Broward Municipal Services District (BMSD), providing on-the-job training and the opportunity to obtain Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) certifications in three disciplines - Intermediate Work Zone Supervisor, Earthwork I, and Asphalt I.  The pilot program is designed to last for one year during the construction phase of the NW 27th Avenue Safe Streets Project.

Inspector interns that complete the program and successfully earn FDOT certifications will have experience, skills, and qualifications to enhance their marketability when applying for full-time permanent employment once the program concludes. Interested candidates are invited to apply April 19th-23rd through one of three community recruitment partners.
