Notice: On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Resolution changing the minimum auto liability insurance requirement for Luxury Limousine/Transport Vans from $500,000 CSL to $100,000/$300,000/$50,000.

The Broward County Innovation Unit and Purchasing Division joined forces to develop the award-winning
Procurement Insights Visualization Tool. This dynamic real-time tool provides comprehensive visibility into the procurement and contract lifecycle processes of Broward County. The platform aggregates key procurement data and displays it in easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and tables, ensuring seamless tracking and management of key procurement activities. On Tuesday, April 22nd, the Board of County Commissioners approved amendments to the Motor Carriers Ordinance to include:
- All taxis must use a soft meter,
- All taxis must accept payment in cash or credit card,
- Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity are no longer required to obtain a luxury sedan permit.
